An interior designer with over 20 years of experience, Mallika blends her creative vision with traditional handcrafted techniques to create unique artisanal pieces. What started as a personal passion for handicrafts has today evolved into a soulful brand that celebrates handmade beauty, craftsmanship, and thoughtful design.

The Bougainvillea Place is a passion-driven brand founded in September 2024 by Mallika Bhattacharya, an interior designer with a deep-rooted love for handicrafts. What began as a personal aspiration to work closely with traditional art forms soon evolved into a platform dedicated to celebrating and elevating lesser-known artisans and their exceptional craftsmanship.

We specialize in handcrafted creations that blend mahogany wood with dokra metal.
Over time, the collection has expanded to include creations in acacia, mango, and gamari wood, enhanced with enamel finishes, along with eco-friendly products made from sabai grass, bamboo, and terracotta.
